Crowns

A crown is a restoration that covers, or caps, a tooth entirely to restore it to a healthy shape and size.

Its purpose is to strengthen or improve the appearance of a tooth. Porcelain crowns are strong, long-lasting and they look great. Virtually indistinguishable from your natural teeth, crowns restore function and aesthetically enhance your smile by fitting snugly over a tooth.

A Crown is necessary when a tooth is in poor condition. This is the case when a tooth starts to crack, break, is decayed or diseased. These conditions could be due to; large fillings, the ageing of teeth, the grinding of teeth, improper bite, poor oral hygiene or after Root Canal Therapy.

For many years, traditional metal-based Crowns have been used to strengthen or rebuild teeth. Through the latest advancements in Cosmetic Dentistry, Porcelain Crowns are now an effective aesthetically pleasing option.
